Currently, the world is intensively forming a market for genetically modified organisms (GMO), primarily genetically modified plants (GMR). In the world, the total area of crops for transgenic crops now amounts to 160 million hectares, or 10.7% of all world agricultural land. We all know about lobby of huge companies who produce it, is there any REAL independent researches about that? What do you think about it?

Nowadays it does not exist only the classic GMO, but there is a new kind of editing, called New breeding techniques (NBT), which use a natural molecular systems, simply accelerating the improvement process.
They have advantages compared to traditional plant breeding techniques. Some techniques allow site-specific and targeted changes in the genetic material of the plants, and for many of the techniques, the genetically modified code for the desired trait is only present in the first plant, but not in their offspring.
